Federal Election Commission Complaint Filed Against Twitter By Rep. Matt Gaetz

Posted by Label56 in Blog | Politics

It`s no secret anymore that social media outlets have routinely blocked, shadow banned and even deleted entire pages of people whom they want to censor. It`s also no secret that the majority of the people banned are those who the owners of these social media outlets disagree with politically, which would make them Republican / Conservatives. In this respect, the monopoly these companies have over the tech industry can actually affect elections by limiting the voice of people they don`t want you to hear and favoring those who they do. We`ve made the argument many times that when people are banned from using these social media outlets that it is equivalent to election interference and collusion. That`s why it is great to see the article here. Rep. Matt Goetz has filed a lawsuit against Twitter for shadow banning him claiming Twitter “may have illegally donated to the campaigns of my opponents by prejudicing against my content,”. “He went on to explain that this gives political rivals an unfair advantage. He compared it to a billboard company refusing to provide space for one party, which the FEC would consider to be an illegal corporate donation.”
