Social Justice Warriors To The Rescue! Part 3

Posted by Label56 in Blog | Politics

Is your college planning an event that centers around the participants wearing speedos or bikinis? Are you worried that the event may make fat people embarrassed? Or are you a feminist or an effeminate male who is insecure with themselves and see an event that you think somehow might promote male masculinity and are scared to be around them? Well have no fear, the social justice warriors will come to the rescue and get these events banned altogether! That`s what recently happened at Claremont College. Instead of making participation optional for this traditional event, the social justice warriors have united to get this event banned. Great job douche bags, once again you`ve placed emotions over logic and like a dictator you`ve imposed your demands on everyone else. To go beyond the obvious that colleges are being run by emotionally challenged pc fascists, demanding nothing but feel good emotions is antithetical to survival in the real world. To look at it another way, such an event could actually be motivating to people who are overweight or out of shape. If someone isn`t not comfortable with themselves to the point that they`d be embarrassed to participate in such an event it could motivate them to take proactive measures to better themselves. If you don`t want to participate in such an event because you are insecure with yourself then just sit it out, but don`t ruin other people`s fun. You are essentially turning your misery with yourself into a form of collective punishment and making them suffer due to your own unhappiness with yourself. The second point here is that this is an “outdoors club”, meaning it most likely centers around nature. There is no social justice and equality in nature. The sooner people understand that the better.

Students cancel annual ‘Speedo Hike,’ say it’s not inclusive enough to all body sizes

“The Claremont Colleges’ “On the Loose” outdoors club has canceled its annual Mt. Baldy Speedo Hike, in which male students typically don Speedos and female students bikinis as they trek up the mountain, citing concerns that the activity is not inclusive enough to all body shapes and fitness levels, and that it also sends an overly masculine message.

“By having the Speedo Hike as our official welcome event each year, we unintentionally sent the message that to participate in OTL, you must be fit and comfortable with your body image,” the student group stated this week on its Facebook page announcing the decision. “The name ‘Speedo’ itself inherently implies bro-iness. OTL is so much more than just that, but many potentially interested students get turned off to our club each year because of Speedo Hike. … We are always working to make OTL a more open and inclusive space …””
